Aligned with Mission LiFE · Lifestyle for Environment

An eco-friendly lifestyle, built one small improvement at a time.

Green Kaizen Net helps homes, communities, offices and government departments adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle. Kaizen is our framework: small, measured improvements toward seven environmental goals, until they become everyday habits.

Our Earth. Their Future.

Seven goals

If it isn't measured, it isn't real.

Every participant works toward seven goals, each with its own unit of measure and each linked to a Mission LiFE theme. Each one is easy to act on at home, at the office or in your surroundings.

How we get there: Kaizen

Change for the better, one small step at a time.

Kaizen (改善) is the Japanese practice of continuous improvement. Kai means change, Zen means good. Instead of big resolutions that fade, Kaizen asks for one small, measured improvement at a time. It is the framework we use to reach the seven goals.

  1. Observe

Notice one habit at home or at work.

  2. Ask why

Find the real cause, not just the symptom.

  3. Change one small thing

Pick the smallest step that fixes the cause.

  4. Record and measure

Count the difference in kWh, litres, kg, km or items.

  5. Repeat

Keep what works, then move to the next habit.

One Kaizen in practice

Observe: the electricity bill is high. Ask why: lights and fans stay on in empty rooms, because nobody checks when leaving. Change: the last person out switches off, with a reminder by each door. Measure: compare kWh on next month's bill. Repeat: keep it, then move on to water.

The transformation journey

A problem-solving mindset that moves you forward.

Practising Kaizen builds a problem-solving mindset. That mindset is what carries a family, a community or an office through five stages, from not knowing to not needing to think about it.

  1. STAGE 1

    Ignorance

We don't know what we don't know. Most waste is invisible.

    Moves forward by: observing

  2. STAGE 2

    Awareness

We see where energy, water, food and plastic are lost.

    Moves forward by: asking why

  3. STAGE 3

    Engagement

We pay attention, ask questions and bring others along.

Moves forward by: changing one small thing

  4. STAGE 4

    Execution

We act: one change at a time, recorded and measured.

Moves forward by: measuring and repeating

  5. STAGE 5

    Integration

The eco-friendly habit is simply how we live.

    Then: the next goal

Not a course you complete. A change you keep.
